Basic Safety Information for Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector
This smoke and carbon monoxide detector is a combination device with two separate alarms. The CO Alarm is specifically designed to detect carbon monoxide gas at the sensor. It does not detect fire or any other gases. The Smoke Alarm, on the other hand, is designed to detect smoke that reaches the sensor. Please note that the carbon and smoke detector is not designed to sense gas, heat, or flames.
Important Safety Guidelines:
• NEVER ignore any alarm. Refer to the INSTRUCTIONS for detailed guidance on how to respond. Ignoring an alarm can lead to serious injury or death.
• Always inspect your building for potential problems after any alarm activation. Failure to check could result in injury or death.
• Test your CO smoke detector or CO and smoke detector once a week. If the detector fails to test properly, replace it immediately. A malfunctioning alarm cannot alert you in case of an emergency.
Product Introduction
Click The Power Button To Activate The Device Before Use
• Press the power button. The LED on the front will turn red, green, and blue for one second. Afterward, the alarm will emit one beep, and the detector will start preheating. In the meantime, you will see a two-minute countdown on the LCD.
TEST / SILENCE Button
• Press the TEST / SILENCE button to enter the self-test. The LCD display will light up and show the CO and smoke concentration (peak records). The LED on the front will start flashing, and the speaker will emit a continuous alarm.
• The device will exit the self-test after 8 seconds.
Clear Peak Record
• When pressing the TEST / SILENCE button to check alarm records, press and hold the button again for 5 seconds to clear the records. The device will confirm by emitting 2 "beeps."
Power Indicator
• In normal standby mode, the green LED on the front will flash once every 56 seconds.
Low Battery Warning
• If the battery level is critically low, the yellow LED on the front will flash every 56 seconds. Additionally, the speaker will emit one "beep," and the LCD display will show "LB" for one second.
CO Alarm
• The speaker will emit 4 "beeps" every second. The blue LED on the front will flash rapidly until the carbon monoxide concentration returns to an acceptable level.
Response times:
• CO > 300 PPM: Alarm will start within 3 minutes
• CO > 100 PPM: Alarm will start within 10 minutes
• CO > 50 PPM: Alarm will start within 60 minutes
Smoke Alarm
• The speaker will emit 1 "beep" every second. The red LED on the front will flash slowly until the smoke concentration returns to an acceptable level.
CO & Smoke Alarm
• In case of simultaneous alarms, the device will alternate between CO and smoke alarm modes every second.
Alarm Pause (Hush)
• When the alarm goes off, simply press the TEST / SILENCE button on the front of the device to stop the audible alarm. The LED will continue flashing for 90 seconds.
FAULT
• The alarm will deliver 1 "beep" approximately every 2 seconds, and the LED will flash yellow. The LCD display will then indicate "Err."
End of Life
• The yellow light will flash every 56 seconds, emitting two "DI DI" sounds, and "END" will appear on the display.
SUGGESTED AREAS FOR INSTALLING CO SMOKE DETECTOR
Does the device provide separate alarms for smoke and carbon monoxide?
Yes, it has distinct alerts for smoke and carbon monoxide on the LCD screen, ensuring you can quickly identify the type of danger.
It detects both smoke from fires and dangerous levels of carbon monoxide gas, providing dual protection for your home or office.
The detector emits a loud alarm sound, flashes LED lights, and some models also display the concentration levels on an LCD screen.
No, this device is specifically designed to detect smoke and carbon monoxide. It will not detect other gases like methane or natural gas.
Install the detector in bedrooms, hallways, and living areas. For carbon monoxide detection, place it near sleeping areas or fuel-burning appliances.
this models is battery-operated and do not require hardwiring, making them easy to install.
This detector uses a CR123 lithium sealed battery designed to last up to 10 years, ensuring long-term reliability without frequent replacements.
Immediately leave the building, call emergency services, and do not re-enter until it’s safe.
